Top 5 Fruits and Vegetables for Healthy Eyes

Avocado

Avocados are sweet and considered to have a cooling energy and  are the  most nutrient-dense foods that exist, they contain more lutein than any other fruit. Lutein is important in the prevention of macular degeneration and cataracts. They are also a great source of other important eye nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and vitamin E. Avocados also nourish the blood, lubricates the lungs and large intestines and soothes the bladder.

Blueberry

Blueberries are sour, astringent, and moist, with a cold energy. They contain beta-carotene, vitamin C , iron, and potassium, and are rich silicon. Its high lutein content makes spinach an excellent, medical food in cases of vision weakness and night blindness and as protection against macular degeneration. Spinach have antioxidant, digestive, diuretic, laxative, lymph-cleansing, nutritive, and tonic properties.

    I have been dignoste with glaucoma need help in what to eat everyday in my diet besides these fruites and veggies.

      Some eye vitamins that contain lutein is good for the macula. As far as glaucoma, it is a tough battle. We do not have specific recommandation of food.
